[Fic] The Potion Master's Daughter Part 16....

April 27th, 2004 (10:04 pm)
mood: refreshed
music: tchaikovsky

I think everyone can say... Finally.

Well I sat on this part for ages for a couple of reasons.

1. I didn't reach all my goals for thsi chapter in terms of plot evolution. However I wrote an ending that I was satisfied with and decided to post.

2. The lemon... I alawys take time with these... too many pronouns and then I require someone elses opinion on wether it is actually titilating as all I can think about is pronoun use and clarity.

So *rubs hands* I think the characters are a little too happy...

On to the chapter...

The Potion Master's Daughter Part 15...

mood: exhausted
music: Danny Elfman - Cookie Factory Edward Scissorhands

Well part 15 is finished, I hope this makes everyone happy, I know I'm happy to have completed it. It's a fairly long chapter *.*

I'm so tired right now I'm not even sure if what I'm typing makes sense, but I'm satisfied that the plot has been pushed forward quite a lot in the chapter.

Once again I've liberally played with historical fact, warping it to fit my purposes. Congrats to geri-san! She picked up on my Pet Shop of Horrors reference in the last chapter. So many nice comments.

Onto the reading bit...

The Potion Master's Daughter Part 14...

February 1st, 2004 (09:05 pm)
mood: drained
music: drip drip drip...

Well I've finally finish part 14... do I like it? I have no idea! (I like the intro bit :3)

I've reached a bit of a crisis point in this story where I've realized what a very bad idea it was to post part by part. The ideas I have in my head needed a much more extensive planning period. By writing part by part am bound to what I have written and now I'm having to match everything up plot wise and it's a little difficult.

However, lesson learned and I will muddle through, hopefully with some success.

Next story is being written first!

So it's been a hard weekend, for reasons other than my writing, so on one level I'm very proud of myself for completing the chapter even though the emotional turmoil switch has been flicked to high.

Without further ado...

The Potion Master's Daughter Part 13 and my apologies...

December 14th, 2003 (05:26 pm)
mood: anxious
music: Diamond Dogs - David Bowie

The Chapter I set out to write is not what you see here. I can only apologise for the long wait for a chapter that is not as long as usual, because I have chosen to post the first part rather than make you wait for me to conquer further hurdles.

I hope that you will understand that I have had a very hard couple of months, it seemed like everything needed to be held together and my writing suffered terribly. However all is returning to normal... albeit a new kind of normal.

Although each word was like drawing blood, I am happy with some parts of this chapter. I just never seemed to hit my stride though.

Part 13 of The Potion Master's Daughter can be read here

Please leave me some comments or thoughts if you have a moment.

Gomen nasi... Chapter 12 The Potion Master's Daughter

October 12th, 2003 (10:19 pm)

I am so sorry for the long and regretable wait. Thank you to everyone who was paitent and encouraging. This was a difficult chapter to write, because now I have to begin to pick up all the plot points I've slapped in and I have more plot points then hands!

The good news... it's long! Yay... so you can read about it here

New Chapter....

September 8th, 2003 (11:17 pm)

Well I've finally stopped being lazy and have posted Chapter Eleven of The Potion Master's Daughter. I will start on the next part very soon... it is all pretty much in my head, it is just the time consuming act of actually typing it that takes so long.

Feel free to leave you comments on the following chapter...

New Chapter....

music: tam!

I have completed part 10 of The Potion Master's Daughter... Okay I'll be honest I've only written one third of what I thought I would for Chapter ten.

I usually like having more than one POV per chapter, but with three character's operating and each POV getting longer it's starting to seem really long. For example Chapter nine was over ten thousand words.

So the chapters may be a little shorter, but hopefully you'll see them come out a little faster. follow the link to read...

Drabbles...

Joined Hp100 community. They post a 100 word challenge once a week and you can respond with a little drabble.

So this was my first contribution, the topic was thestrals...

Title: Stay
House: Slytherin
Word Count: 100
Characters: Millicent Bulstrode

Incurable.

The word echoed through the house. It shuttered the windows, silenced the noise, and farewelled the elegant dinner parties.

Poor child, they whispered, and lined the darkened hallways with piteous glances as she passed.

Millie, her mother beckoned with a withered hand, what do you see?

A shadow from the corner of her eye, a flicker of movement from the barely seen sentinels who stand in wait. Nothing, mummy, she replied.

Lay with me, Millie. Stay with me, my baby.

No, mummy, stay with me. She couldn't say it.

Do you see them, Millie?

Yes, I see them, mummy.
